Sarah Hart Morgan, has lived in Front Royal most of her life. After studying Design in college, she and her husband did a small stint in NOVA before realizing they needed to head home. Never far from the mountains, you will often find her hiking local trails with her husband and son, or floating the Shenandoah River on their kayaks; all with a camera in hand. When she’s not in the mountains or relaxing on the river, you can find her in the garden, tending to her bees, or in her apothecary formulating new artisan soaps and medicine made from local ingredients and foraged plants.
Life isn’t always about the big picture, but a series of details, small moments in time that woven together creates the larger picture of life. It’s the same in her photography, she is currently drawn towards the smaller details found in nature, playing with natural light, texture, pattern, and movement. Throw in some good light and she is ready to capture the moment so that it may live forever; whether it be the way the sun hits a blade of grass, a pattern in the water cause by the skipping of rocks, or the wind catching a horse’s mane. Her motto in life is to “Live Inspired”.
