Violet

The Wild Violet started growing abundantely in my garden last year and I knew I needed to pay attention and work with her this year.

They self seed and seem to spread everywhere! But because I love her, I tend to let her grown wherever she wants.

As a Flower Essence:

Heart Opening, Grief, Warmth, A feeling of abundance in life

Uses:

  • Infused in Witch Hazel as a Face Toner

  • Add fresh leaves to your green juice

  • Eat fresh in the spring in salads, include in soups, sautes, sauces, etc in late summer/early fall

  • Great as a stew thickener and digestive aid due to its mucilage

  • Similar in texture to spinach

  • makes a beautiful simple syrup

  • High in Vitamins A,C, and E
